Description

United Care Homes is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) pin to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be a vital part of our healthcare team, providing high-quality, person-centered care to our clients in a variety of settings, including home care, residential care facilities, or community healthcare settings. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving client outcomes. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

1. Provide Direct Nursing Care: Deliver professional and compassionate nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and managing other complex health needs.
2. Assess, Plan, and Implement Care Plans: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and regularly review and update them based on patient needs.
3. Monitor and Evaluate Patient Health: Observe and assess patients’ conditions, promptly addressing changes and implementing necessary interventions.
4. Medication Administration and Management: Administer medications accurately in line with regulatory guidelines, and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
5. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with doctors, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
6. Document Patient Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including daily observations, care provided, and any changes in health status.
7. Educate and Support Patients and Families: Provide information, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them understand treatment plans and care requirements.
8. Promote Health and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including infection control, safeguarding, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Valid NMC Pin: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
2. Clinical Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., hospital, care home, community care) is preferred.
3. Strong Clinical Skills: Proficient in nursing care practices, medication administration, and patient assessment.
4. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
5. Compassionate and Detail-Oriented: Dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered care with attention to detail.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
