Description
United Care Homes is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) pin to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be a vital part of our healthcare team, providing high-quality, person-centered care to our clients in a variety of settings, including home care, residential care facilities, or community healthcare settings. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving client outcomes. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Nursing Care: Deliver professional and compassionate nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and managing other complex health needs.
- Assess, Plan, and Implement Care Plans: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and regularly review and update them based on patient needs.
- Monitor and Evaluate Patient Health: Observe and assess patients’ conditions, promptly addressing changes and implementing necessary interventions.
- Medication Administration and Management: Administer medications accurately in line with regulatory guidelines, and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with doctors, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document Patient Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including daily observations, care provided, and any changes in health status.
- Educate and Support Patients and Families: Provide information, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them understand treatment plans and care requirements.
- Promote Health and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including infection control, safeguarding, and hygiene standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid NMC Pin: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
- Clinical Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., hospital, care home, community care) is preferred.
- Strong Clinical Skills: Proficient in nursing care practices, medication administration, and patient assessment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Compassionate and Detail-Oriented: Dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered care with attention to detail.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
